June 2020

Morgantown, West Virginia

01

Summer being back in full swing only means one thing... Hiking! However this trip was unlike any other. As the whole purpose of this little exploration was to take NCLEX in hopes of becoming a registered nurse (thankfully we passed). And what better way to relieve stress before taking the NCLEX than going on a little adventure.

On our two day trip to Morgantown West Virginia we kicked off the first day by taking a hike at Coopers Rock State Forest that was just 20 minutes outside the city of Morgantown in Bruceton Mills WV. The state forest has an endless amount of activities, like hiking, biking, camping, fishing, and even rafting. Due to the limited amount of time we decided to stick to hiking the notorious scenic overlook, Coopers Rock.

The Grind: The perfect place to grab a quick bite for breakfast while on the go. I highly recommend the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich on a bagel with a cup of iced peach green tea.

Pies & Pints: Has one of the best specialty pizzas I ever had. We got 1/2 mozzarella caprese and the other 1/2 chipotle chicken.

Oliverio's Ristorante On The Wharf: Has amazing Italian food. Their bread sticks are to die for. We ended up getting a chicken caesar salad and Roman italian sausage with pasta which was fantastic.
